I’m Back! Photo Contest Recap:
Every patient has something special they want to get back to after undergoing spine surgery. For Bill Walton, it was riding his bike. For Nate Quarry, it was picking up his daughter.
In November 2011, The Better Way Back® celebrated the milestones that Patient Ambassadors have achieved through the “I’m Back!” photo contest on the program’s Facebook page. More than 20 Patient Ambassadors submitted photos of themselves doing the activity that they are most proud of getting back to. Voting was open for 6 weeks. The 4 contest finalists received a trip to San Diego in January to attend the NuVasive® annual company event.
The winner of the “I’m Back!” Photo Contest was Michael P. who is back to spending quality time with his grandchildren. Michael’s award for getting more than 14,000 votes is an all-expense paid trip to Disney world with his grandchildren.
Even though the photo contest is over, we still encourage you to share the activities that you are back to doing. Post your photos on our Facebook page or e-mail us at [email protected]. Together, we can spread the word and change the perception of spine surgery.
