What are you celebrating today?

Dr. Mark Peterson, Southern Oregon Spine Care, is from a family full of orthopedic surgeons including himself, his dad, and uncle. At a very young age, Dr. Peterson enjoyed building and fixing things. While attending medical school he realized that only a few specialties offered the immediate satisfaction of “fixing things”. Early in his career, he was introduced to the concept of minimally invasive spine surgery from mentors, and that is what developed his initial attraction to NuVasive.

Dr. Peterson recommends that anyone suffering from spine problems consult with a spine surgeon in order to establish an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Peterson states, “Most conditions will be successfully treated by non-operative care; however, some will come to surgery. Anyone contemplating spinal surgery should seek a second opinion form a fellowship trained spinal surgeon.”
